Dennis Thoen, MD

Dr Thoen founded Western Neurological Associates in Salt Lake City over 30 years ago. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (Neurology). Dr Thoen earned his medical degree from State University of Iowa, served his Neurology Residency at the Harvard Neurological Unit,and his Neuropathology Residency at the Mallory Institute of Pathology, both at Boston City Hospital. He was awarded a 3-year Fellowship grant from NIH/NINDB which he spent in Neuropharmacology at the University of Utah. Since establishing his practice in Utah, Dr Thoen has been key in numerous symposiums, publications, lectures, papers, and exhibits. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Utah Medical Association, Salt Lake County Medical Society, and the American Academy of Internal Medicine.
