LIFETREE CLINICAL RESEARCH PRESIDENT ALICE JACKSON SELECTED AS ONE OF UTAH BUSINESS MAGAZINE’S ‘30 WOMEN TO WATCH’

Salt Lake City—April 4, 2008--Thirty of Utah’s most dynamic business women will be recognized at Utah Business magazine’s 9th Annual Women’s Business Day Luncheon on April 17, 2008 at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Included in this distinguished group is Lifetree Clinical Research Co-Founder and President, Alice Jackson. In addition to the luncheon, Jackson is featured in Utah Business magazine’s April issue as having shown the perseverance, tenacity and dedicated business acumen needed to succeed in the fast paced national biopharmaceutical industry and Utah’s thriving business community.
The magazine noted, "Jackson never took any formal business courses, so as President of Lifetree Clinical Research, she says she relies a lot on her experience and skillful business intuition when making day-to-day decisions. ‘This has yet to disappoint me,’ she says. Or any of her employees and collaborators, either. Lifetree Clinical Research who works with biopharmaceutical partners to bring safe, effective drugs to market grew its employment force by 250 percent last year. The company focuses on emerging medications for acute and chronic pain, as well as abuse deterrent medicines.”
The 2008 Women to Watch recipients span job titles and industries, but each shares the same trait with the others: a passion for her job. These women seek to make a difference within each of their respective industries and in their community.

"We are pleased to honor this outstanding group of business professionals,” said Martin Lewis, publisher of Utah Business. "The Utah business community at-large is recognizing the vital contribution and need for dynamic women business leadership, and we see this year’s class as great examples of this important leadership.”
