Data Management Services
Lifetree has the ability to manage clinical data in multiple ways:
- Traditional double data entry from hard copy case report forms using Clintrial
- Fax-based data collection using Clinical DataFax
- EDC (web-based data capture) using SynCapture
- Combination of all 3 modes of data capture in one study, using SynCapture.
SynCapture is unique in that it integrates web-based collection with DataFax into a single database. All data reside in the same database and undergo the same edit checks. The SynCapture system has built in tracking and reporting features that provide information on patient and data status, which can be customized as needed. The system is fully validated and compliant with 21CFR part 11, and has been in use for over four years.
EDC is cost-effective, and offers rapid data collection and database closure. With adequate planning, it should be possible to close the databases within 1 week or less of the last patient visits!
Visual Analog Scales, if utilized, are completed via paper and faxed directly into the electronic system. The software provides automated measurement of the scales.
Other unique capabilities are Private Web Sites secured with individual passwords for clients, investigators and study sites that can be specifically designed to meet the needs of the program.
